Welcome to our 2014 Grey Cup Meet & Greet event!
This year we will gather at Library Square Public House in Vancouver, the host city for the 102nd Grey Cup Championship. It promises to be a great party as CFL fans from across the country head for the west coast to celebrate their love and support of the Canadian Football League.
Our event this year will be in support of Hannah’s Heroes Foundation, a non-profit charitable organization that raises money for research into pediatric brain cancer.
Our plans are well under way for this event. Our venue has been secured and TSN1040 host Matt Baker will be the host for the afternoon. Prize donations have started to come in from the BC Lions, the CFL and fans across the country, but we still need your help.
If you own a business, we would love for you to sponsor the event with a donation, whether that be in the form of prizes for our raffle, or perhaps you would just like to make a cash donation in memory of Hannah and in support of the great work this foundation allows to happen through it’s efforts.
Here are the details of our event:
When: Friday, November 28th, 11:30am to 2:30pm
Where: Library Square Public House – 300 West Georgia Street, Vancouver, BC
Hosts: CFL Fans Fight Cancer and BEAT 94.5 morning host Chris Palliser
How we raise money: Mainly from your participation! There will be raffle tickets for sale at the event giving you a chance to win some great prizes. We’ll also welcome cash donations, and you’ll be able to receive a tax receipt from Hannah’s Heroes for your generosity and support. There will be buttons available for purchase by donation as well throughout Grey Cup week.
Our Facebook Event: Invite yourself and your friends to our event via our Facebook Event page.
We need: Volunteers to help at the event, selling raffle tickets, setting up the prize table and wrapping up the event.
We will have more news and announcements as they unfold. But in the meantime, if you would like to help with our event, you can use the form below to get in touch with us.
