Hannah’s Heroes Foundation is this year’s chosen charity for our Grey Cup Meet & Greet Fundraiser which will be held November 28th at Library Square Public House.
This charity really hits home for me personally. Hannah Hatlen was the daughter of a high school friend of mine, Kathy Hamilton and her husband Tore Hatlen. Hannah died of brain cancer at the age of 5. Sadly, her mother Kathy also passed from Cancer a short time later. It was a heart wrenching story that no family should have to endure.
Her family would not let Hannah’s death be in vain, and they started the Hannah’s Heroes Foundation to raise money for pediatric brain cancer. CFLFFC has supported this cause in the past and this year we hope to be able to give them a big donation during Grey Cup week in Vancouver.
Take a moment to read about Hannah, and learn what the foundation does to help in the fight against cancer.
We would love to have you join us at our event. If you can offer help, make a donation either in the form of raffle prizes or monetary, we would love to hear from you.
