Twenty years ago, a small group of passionate CFL fans came together with one big idea, that a united football community could make a real impact in the fight against cancer. What started as a grassroots effort has grown into a powerful movement, raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for cancer patients and their families across the country.

2026 marks the 20th Anniversary of CFL Fans Fight Cancer (CFLFFC) … and we’re thrilled to be celebrating this incredible milestone right here in Calgary during Grey Cup Festival!

This is going to be our biggest year yet, creating a legacy event! We can’t wait to bring fans, families, supporters, and CFL communities together from across the league.

The CFL Fans Fight Cancer - 20th Anniversary Wrap-Up Event:

Saturday, November 14, 2026

11:00 AM – 4:00 PM

The Rooftop YYC, Calgary AB

Join us for an afternoon of connection, celebration, fundraising, and reflection on twenty years of impact. Whether you’re a longtime supporter or new to CFLFFC, this will be a highlight of Grey Cup Week and a chance to see the incredible strength of the CFL community in action.

About CFL fans fight cancer

CFL Fans Fight Cancer (or CFLFFC for short) is a grassroots movement that has supported local cancer charities across Canada since 2006. Each year, we pick a charity in the Grey Cup host city and dedicate the year's funds to them. We raised $22K in Regina, $41K in Hamilton, $75K in Vancouver and $76K in Winnipeg.

Want to help? Email cflfansfightcancer@gmail.com or honestly, just do your own thing and submit funds via our Donate page. Folks have done everything from poker tourneys to dunk tanks to watch parties to head shaving. Be creative, and let us know how we can help!

Our biggest event is a Meet N Greet each Grey Cup Weekend.  However, we've grown into a nationwide grassroots movement with events and donations all year. All are welcome, anywhere, any time!

We are not a registered charity and we have no structure or administrative costs - just a bunch of people raising money to kick cancer's ass.
